Self-Massage Tutorial

The Healthtender and Wild Turkey invite you to kick off this week of digital Beyond the Bar programming with a little dedicated movement! Mobility is the range of motion we have at some of our body’s most utilized joints--the feet, ankles, knees, hips, spine, and shoulders. Good mobility contributes to our overall performance behind the bar and on the running trail through better body mechanics, improved speed and agility, and a decreased risk for injury. We will work through a series of intensive movements that address individual mobility, and provide practical tools for increasing your range of motion. You will want to bring an exercise mat and wear loose-fitting and stretchy clothing. Have 1-2 throw pillows or yoga blocks handy for increased comfort!

You are guaranteed to calm your nervous system, enhance your breath quality, reduce inflammation, decrease pressure, and stimulate circulation at sites of injury and discomfort through elements of functional movement. You will want to wear loose-fitting, stretchy, or comfortable clothing and have an exercise mat.
